Terry Wickstrom Outdoors Hour 1: 8/12/17

Bob Broscheid joins the show to talk about the lack of funding hurting the constituents at the end of the day, and starting to feel it on the fishing side too. Bob agrees with Terry we must decide what we can & want to provide, and maybe it's time to take another look at license fees. Bob mentions a user-pay model that broadens the contribution model on multiple levels & why it's important to stop expecting others to do the work. Park Manager AHRA Stew Pappenfort & Brayden Baker of Ark Anglers join the show to talk about fly fishing the Arkansas with AHRA. Also, Ray Reeves of Adventure Camper joins the show to highlight some of the best deals they've got going on right now, and says fall is always the best time of year to buy a trailer. Cameron Landis from Lory State Park joins the show to talk about how the area is still recovering from the High Park Fire & how to go through Horsetooth to access the camp sights, and even come back-country camping. Cameron notes all the turkey hunting success in the area of late, and mule deer hunting hasn't been bad, either. Also, the Peregrine Falcons have moved on, and the rock-climbing wall is now open. TACKLE TALK: Terry talks about fluorocarbon line, how to keep costs down when using it & how it handles abrasion.
