Nate says there's recently been nothing groundbreaking, but they are continuing to communicate & improve electronics. Brad asks Nate for a fishing update, and Nate highlights this summer has been one for the record books. Nate says he's been spoiling himself with the great walleye bite while he waits for the lakes to change as food sources hit. Also, Nate mentions the mountain lakes are at full-pool & it's time to think about getting back in hunting mode. Brad talks about the fish feeding aggressively & how to catch fish consistently throughout the day. Brad talks about getting a reaction strike from bass, and mentions the bowl-shaped structure of the local ponds. Brad says cover is key, including boat docks & rocks, and bass & walleye like to hang out in these areas. Also, Brad mentions how long stick baits with a walk-the-dog technique can work for shad. Al Lindner joins the show to talk about careers in fishing. Al tells Brad that timing is important, and always watch for peak periods in the morning during the summer. Al talks about getting into the fishing industry, and mentions how to make a decision on if you can make a living in the industry. Also, Brad asks about Al's fishing careers workshop, based in Minnesota. Ronny Castiglioni joins the show to give Brad & the listeners some tips on beating the heat & catching fish when it's blazing hot outside. Ronny mentions the importance of layers and sunscreen, saying don't wait until it's too late to put on sunscreen or take off your jeans & sweatshirt. Also, Ronny mentions some tendencies of big fish when it gets extremely hot outside.
