Terry Wickstrom Outdoors Hour 1: 7/15/17

Jason Vincent joins the show. Jason highlights what the people need out here in Colorado, and tells Terry he doesn't feel the need to fill the store with products outdoor enthusiasts won't use. Jason mentions the love for the outdoors, and the experts standing at each station that are passionate about the outdoors. Admin at Jackson Lake State Park, Darby Shanks joins the show to talk about the astronomy at Jackson Lake. Darby talks about the up to 33" wipers you can catch, and all you need is a park pass to get in. Terry asks Darby where Jackson is located, about the events coming up, and about the hunting access close to the park. Also, Ray Reeves calls the show to tell Terry about the inventory Adventure Camper recently got in, including the most popular models from Sonoma. Megan Franzen of Steamboat Lake State Park joins the show to discuss interpretive programs at Steamboat Lake. Megan mentions the rainbow trout & alpine views at Steamboat, and the camping facilities that can be booked up to six months in advance. Megan says programs are available every weekend, as well as some days during the week, as well as programs available to kids. Kirk Bien of Kirk's Fly Shop calls in with an update on the shop, as well as an update on the Big Thompson, Rocky Mountain National Park, Saint Vrain & Colorado River. Kirk says the nice thing about the recent floods is finding some decent casting spots is a little easier now. Terry says Kirk is one of the most knowledgeable fly anglers he has ever been around.
