Mile High Magazine 08/09/2020 Grants for Non-ProfitsGuest: Raju Patel Denver Market President Bank of America Non-Profits are having a hard time since COVID-19 hit. Around 70% of non-profits have said they have seen a decrease in donations. As part of Bank of America’s recent $100 million commitment to local communities, the bank is working with community partners that are going above and beyond to provide assistance in Denver to serve our most vulnerable populations amidst the coronavirus crisis. In fact, Bank of America is deploying $1.57MM to 59 Colorado organizations addressing economic mobility and social progress in low- and moderate-income communities and those that are addressing unprecedented challenges from the coronavirus. The bank also is doubling down on its efforts by committing an additional $1 billion over four years to help local communities address economic and racial inequality accelerated by the global pandemic. The work builds on the more than $250 million the bank gives annually to support economic mobility and workforce development programs in local markets, but will sharpen the focus of that work, accelerate the resources, and add a particular emphasis on health services during the pandemic.
