Mile High Magazine 11/11/18 Sarcoidosis with Zach Kerr

Guest: Zach Kerr #92 on the Denver Broncos and his mother Tinya Kerr  Sarcoidosis (pronounced SAR-COY-DOE-SIS) is an inflammatory disease characterized by the formation of granulomas—tiny clumps of inflammatory cells—in one or more organs of the body. When the immune system goes into overdrive and too many of these clumps form, they can interfere with an organ’s structure and function. When left unchecked, chronic inflammation can lead to fibrosis, which is the permanent thickening or scarring of organ tissue. Tinya has had Sarcoidosis for 17 years now.  She came in to talk about Sarcoidosis and her experiance.  Zach has is an offical spokes person for the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research (FSR).   https://stopsarcoidosis.rallybound.org/zachkerr https://www.stopsarcoidosis.org/zachkerr/
