Terry Wickstrom Outdoors Hour 1: 6/17/17

Brad Petersen joins the show LIVE in studio! Brad talks tournament fishing, as well as walleye fishing. Brad says the shad have spawned, but now is a great opportunity to catch fish in a variety of ways, and a great time for casting crank-baits. Terry says it's not a big fish time of year, but you can play the numbers game at places like Boyd, Sterling & Jackson. Lori Martin, Senior Aquatic Biologist in the NW region joins the show to talk cash & prizes for her upcoming fishing tournament, and Terry says it's just like another day fishing with no entry fee. Terry asks Lori how many days you can fish & how to register, and Lori says tags for 2017 small-mouth bass and pike win money. Also, Ray Reeves of Adventure Camper joins the show to highlight the best way to have your camper set up, the wonderful benefits for Colorado citizens & the right vehicle for the bigger trailers. Jay Skinner joins the show to talk controlling the flow of the river & scientific rigor. Jay mentions building a case of evidence and becoming part of the water landscape. Brad asks Jay about increasing awareness & building new water projects, as well as protecting endangered species in Colorado. Brad & Terry answer Mark's question about tying your own flies & testing them. Brad highlights Horsetooth as a place to go for pan fish, and answers how much luck anglers will have shoreline fishing. Also, Terry mentions the importance of the fishing & stocking report, and how to use it to your advantage.
