Terry Wickstrom Outdoors | Hour 1 | 10.05.19

Austin Parr with Discount Tackle gives an update on various fishing and hunting opportunities across the state. On the Front Range, Chatfield is dealing with fewer baitfish and Austin combats that problem with live baits and jigging wraps. Austin says the small ponds and the trout fishing in the mountains are fishing really well right now.  Robb Carter Marina Manager at Navajo State Park joins the show to focus on pike and the smallmouth bass right now, and fall marina operations & hunting. Carter says it’s a great lake to get away from the crowds and still enjoy great fishing. Brett Walker with Wildlife Research Biologists joins the show to talk about new sage grouse research methods and using the technique for smaller populations and accurate estimates. Brad Petersen with Brad Petersen Outdoors joins the show to talk about early-season waterfowl strategies and to touch on northern Colorado fishing. Brad says 60 fish is not uncommon for trolling Jackson right now.
