Deion Sanders is now the head coach of Colorado Buffaloes football, but that’s certainly not the top thing Prime has accomplished through his highly successful life.

He’s one of a very few to play two sports at the highest level and the only one to feature in Super Bowls and World Series. He was not only a vaunted foe for the Denver Broncos but also of the Colorado Rockies. Sanders had an interception in San Francisco’s 42-19 win over the Broncos at Candlestick Park in 1994 and was pretty much a thorn in the side of the Colorado Rockies. In 26 games against them between the Braves, Reds and Giants, he batted .381 (40-for-105), scoring 21 runs with four doubles, a triple, one home run, eight runs batted in and 14 stolen bases.

4: A four-bagger

Sometimes it can be harder to show off your supreme athleticism in baseball compared to the canvas that is the gridiron but Sanders had no problem doing it here. With a knock to centerfield past another two-sport star in Bo Jackson and he hustled around the bases for an incredible finish at the plate. Those football skills in avoiding defense found a use in baseball, somehow.

3: Super Bowl Sanders

How about a slick play in a Super Bowl while playing his second-best position? Prime reeled in a long throw for a first down over a few defenders in helping Dallas to a title win. If you’re name is Prime you better show up in prime time.
