Deion Sanders hilariously dodges excellent interview question about CU

The chatter surrounding “Prime Time” Deion Sanders and the University of Colorado seems to grow by the day.
We told you CU offered Sanders the job to come be the next head football coach. Then, Keyshawn Johnson explained why it makes a ton of sense for Sanders to take the opportunity. Now, a reporter at Jackson State, where Prime currently coaches, had a hilarious interaction about his potential interest in the Buffs.
The University’s “media AD” Rob Jay and Prime sat down for an interview on Tuesday, and Jay did a fantastic job asking Sanders if he might coach the Buffs. Jay even worked in the Broncos, who play the Chiefs at home in 11 days. Take a look.
THIS IS GOLD!!!!

That’s just phenomenal all around. It’s a great angle from Jay, and an even better job dodging the question by Sanders, while also keeping it light and fun. Everyone knows the situation, and everyone knows the gig is his to accept if he wants it and the money is right.
Jackson State is 11-0 on the season and has another big game on Saturday, so we might know more on Sunday. A new report this morning suggested Sanders could be down to CU, the University of South Florida and the University of Cincinnati. So, there are other suitors out there for Buffs AD Rick George to compete with.
We’ll keep you posted on all things Prime. But this is the most attention CU football’s received in a long time, and even that is cool to see. Now imagine if Sanders actually accepts the job?
