Prognosticators give Rockies fifth-longest odds to win 2023 World Series

Oddsmakers think things in Colorado will stay mostly the same in 2023, as prognosticators released their initial MLB futures after the Houston Astros were crowned champions on Saturday.
Of course, things can change in the offseason, but as of now, the Rockies are one of the five-biggest long shots to win the Fall Classic come 2023. The Rockies are equal to their I-70 neighboring Royals, who both are +8000 to win Major League Baseball’s next title.
Only the Reds (+10,000), Pirates (+15,000), Athletics (+15,000) and Nationals (+15,000) are bigger longshots than the Rockies. The Dodgers (+500), Astros (+700) and Braves (+800) are the betting favorites.
The Rockies will be run by Bud Black for the seventh-straight season and hope to break a four-year playoff drought with their last appearance being an NLDS loss in 2018. Colorado has only once even been to the World Series in their 30 season, going in 2007 thanks to their miracle Rocktober. But the Rockies do have some good experience on their roster, featuring former NL MVP and World Series winner Kris Bryant.
Colorado finished last place in the NL west this past season with a 68-94 record. If the Rockies are to help you cash in on your +8,000 gamble they’ll have to make a run just as wonderful as the one they made in 2007.
