Report: Bradley Chubb “likely” to be traded if Broncos lose to Jaguars

The Broncos could have a fire sale if they lose to the Jaguars on Sunday in London.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter hinted at it over the weekend, throwing out the names Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler and Bradley Chubb as one’s to watch to be traded. On Tuesday, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio said something similar.

The word “likely” is key there, showing it’s not 100 percent certain to happen even if Denver drops to 2-6, but probably something GM George Paton will explore. Chubb’s a free agent after this season, so it makes sense to try to retrieve some value.
Schefter went on “The Drive” with Derek Wolfe and DMac on Monday and said he believes Chubb could fetch two draft picks, one in the second-round and another in the third. For a guy who’s going to be a free agent this summer and command a lot of money simply because of the position he plays. Paton would be crazy not do a deal if presented with that kind of return.
The Broncos picked Chubb No. 5 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, passing on star QB Josh Allen and instead going with an edge-rusher. Chubb’s been fine in his time in Denver, but has battled several injuries. Chubb has 26 career sacks, including 5.5 already this season.
With Randy Gregory signed to a long-term deal (although he’s currently on IR) and Baron Browning a rising star, Paton might be tempted to do a deal. Especially if Denver’s season is going nowhere after a loss to Jacksonville.
