Oddsmakers pick Denver Broncos to get right and beat New York Jets

The Denver Broncos have lost three games in a row, but they could get right at home against the New York Jets.
It’s hard to win on the road in the NFL, but the Jets have won three straight. The team is flying high since getting quarterback Zach Wilson back from injury and seem to be improving every week, now 4-2 with a win over the Packers in Green Bay on Sunday.
Oddsmakers currently predict that the Broncos will win the matchup by two to three points, with the line bouncing around as news about Russell Wilson’s hamstring is coming soon.
The Broncos are 2-1 at home but are coming off a road loss in Los Angeles. They lost to the Chargers in overtime, and their last home game was an overtime loss to the Colts. The Broncos haven’t scored 36 points total in their three home games.
This will be the 39th matchup between the franchises and the 38th in the regular season. The Broncos are 22-16-1 all-time against the Jets, last playing against each other in September of 2021 in Denver. The Broncos beat New York 26-0 in last year’s matchup.
The Jets rode former Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco for a few weeks earlier this season when Wilson was sidelined. Broncos defensive end Matt Henningsen was actually acquired via a Flacco trade.
A win would maybe save Denver’s season, giving them a chance to be .500 at the bye. A loss would more or less confirm Denver is not going to the postseason this year. The Broncos are set to take on the Jaguars in London next week, with their bye coming after.
