Colorado Avalanche unveil gorgeous Stanley Cup rings at private party

Oct 10, 2022, 10:00 PM | Updated: 10:10 pm

The Avalanche presented players, coaches and staff with their Stanley Cup rings on Monday night.

The team held a private party, celebrating their first championship since 2001 one more time. Colorado’s journey to repeat begins on Wednesday night at Ball Arena against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The team shared pictures from the event on social media, including a detailed animation of captain Gabriel Landeskog’s championship ring. Take a look:

Those are gorgeous and certainly well deserved for everyone that worked so hard to bring the Stanley Cup back to Denver. The Avalanche were a dominant 16-4 in the playoffs, sweeping the Predators, beating the Blues in six, dusting the Oilers in four and defeating the defending champion Lightning in six.

The team will unveil its championship banner on Wednesday and raise it to the rafters, forever honoring the 2021-2022 team. Then, the grind to do it all over again gets rolling.

With a loaded core returning, the Avs are indeed favorites to repeat as Stanley Cup champs. We’ll see if another party like this one happens again next fall.
