Broncos-Colts inactives: For the first time this season, Billy Turner is active

DENVER — It took four weeks, but Billy Turner is finally in uniform.
The Broncos activated Turner for the first time in advance of Thursday night’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
A week ago, Turner did not practice at all. In Week 3, Turner saw limited work in two of three days. This week, Turner’s practice regimen was projected as “limited,” although the Broncos’ work was limited to walk-through sessions due to the short week.
Cameron Fleming has filled in for Turner so far this season.
There were no surprises among the other inactives.
S P.J. Locke and edge rusher Aaron Patrick are in the post-concussion protocol. The Broncos ruled out edge rusher Jonathan Cooper and RT Quinn Meinerz on Wednesday because of hamstring injuries. CB Darius Phillips hasn’t played since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 2, and WR Jalen Virgil has been a healthy scratch all season.
RB Latavius Murray is also inactive. After flying back from London to New Orleans on Monday before going to Denver after the Broncos claimed him from the Saints’ practice squad, he wasn’t ready to go on such a short turnaround. The Broncos expect to play Murray Oct. 17 at Los Angeles.
