D.J. Jones wins Smashburger’s “Smashed It” Play of the Week

The Broncos were trailing the Raiders 3-0 in the first quarter on Sunday when defensive lineman D.J. Jones broke into the backfield and had a big sack of Las Vegas QB Derek Carr. The play earned him the Smashburger “Smashed it” Play of the Week on the “Stokley and Zach” show on 104.3 The Fan.
The sack came on third down, and forced the Raiders into fourth-and-21 from their own two-yard line, which meant they obviously had to punt. Jones finished with three tackles and the one sack. It was his first sack in a Denver uniform after coming over from the 49ers as a free agent this offseason. The Broncos unfortunately lost the game, 32-23.
