NBC has made a big deal of Jimmy Garoppolo not training at all with the 49ers this offseason, instead rehabbing on his own amid trade rumors.
Jimmy G is now San Francisco’s best hope with starting quarterback Trey Lance out for the season. But apparently, that lack of practice may have hurt Jimmy.
Early in the second half, the San Fran signal caller forgot how deep the end zone is and stepped out of the back, giving the Broncos two points on a safety.
Safety for the Broncos!

The play may have been a blessing as it looked like the Broncos may have had a pick-six. But the Broncos will take the points, getting them to 7-5.

Dan Orlovsky famously stepped out of the back of the end zone while playing for the Lions years ago. The clip has been a meme for years. He chimed in on Twitter, welcoming Jimmy G to the club.
