The Denver Broncos got tricky with it in the middle of the first quarter of their home opener against the Houston Texans.

Russell Wilson called for the double pass, and when quarterback got the ball back he slang it to Jerry Jeudy.

Jeudy initially tracked the ball but it ended up on the turf as the wide receiver went down in pain.

Jeudy was initially questionable to return with a rib injury but was ruled out to start the second half

The former first round pick was limited to 10 games last season, dealing with injuries.

Already without Tim Patrick for the year, an injury to Jeudy could be a big issue. Pat Surtain was also injured and ruled out of the game.

Mike Klis reported after the game that Jeudy’s X-rays were negative, which is a positive for the Broncos season.

The Broncos wound up scoring a field goal to take a 3-0 lead on the same drive Jeudy was hurt. Denver won the game 16-9.
