Jerry Jeudy wins Smashburger’s “Smashed It” Play of the Week

Jerry Jeudy earned this week’s Smashburger “Smashed It” Play of the Week for his long touchdown against the Seahawks on Monday night at Lumen Field.
The Broncos were trailing Seattle 10-3 in the second quarter of their season opener when Russell Wilson dropped back to pass on third-and-two. Jeudy sprinted down the left side of the field and Wilson unloaded a deep ball.
Jeudy hauled in the pass, escaped the tackle of the first defender and outran another into the end zone. The pitch and catch went 67 yards, longer than any TD the Broncos scored the entire 2021 season. Denver went on to lose a frustrating game, 17-6, and dropped to 0-1 on the year.
