C.J. Cron wins Smashburger’s “Smashed It” Play of the Week

C.J. Cron earned this week’s Smashburger “Smashed It” Play of the Week for his monster home run against the Diamondbacks on Friday night at Coors Field.
The Rockies were leading Arizona 6-1 in the fourth inning when Cron came to the plate. What happened next tied him for the longest home run in stadium history. Cron launched a baseball to left field, over the concourse, over the truck that’s displayed way up there and out of the stadium. The ball was measured at 504 feet, but could have been closer to 550. Giancarlo Stanton also owns a 504 foot home run at 20th and Blake. The Rockies went on to win the game 13-10.
