AVALANCHE

A cop thought Bowen Byram was illegally entering the Avalanche’s parade

Jun 30, 2022, 3:44 PM

The Colorado Avalanche’s Stanley Cup parade was kept safe today thanks to thousands of men and women in law enforcement who did a great job.

There was one funny hiccup though, when Avs defenseman Bowen Byram left his firetruck to go say hello to fans. Byram, with two beers in his hands, was approached by a police officer. The cop was trying to get Byram off the parade route and back with the crowd. Byram let him know he plays for the Avalanche and was allowed to go on his way.

You can watch the moment below:

To be fair, Byram is exceptionally young looking and blended in with a lot of the crowd. At the same time, he had on his own jersey and was just trying to engage the fans. All’s well that ends well, and this is a clip Byram can laugh at the rest of his life.

The parade overall was fantastic, and you can check out some of the best sights and sounds right here.
