Avalanche players and Stanley Cup headed to Coors Field on Wednesday

Coors Field is the place to be on Wednesday night.

The Rockies announced they will host the Avalanche and the Stanley Cup trophy before their game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Avs will be honored with a pregame ceremony then throw out the first pitch.

The festivities are slated to start at 6:21 p.m. with the pitch being delivered at 6:26, though it’s unclear who will throw it. A safe bet is Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog, but that remains to be seen. The Rockies and Dodgers will then play the real baseball game beginning at 6:40.

This will be the next honor for the Avs, who also have their parade on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. in downtown Denver. That party officially starts at 9:00 a.m., but the firetrucks won’t start rolling with the players until an hour later. You can find the full info on the Stanley Cup trophy celebration at Coors Field here.

But if you have Rockies tickets, tomorrow night is the evening not to be late to the game, as it could be one of the most fun things to happen at Coors Field this season. We’ll see if it can top the heat of Russell Wilson’s fastball from Opening Day.
