Jun 18, 2022, 7:57 PM

The Colorado Avalanche not only started Game 2 well but they’ve kept the foot on the gas.

The Avs finished the first period up 3-0. In the second period, Colorado added two goals, to push the two-time defending Stanley Cup champs to the brink.

First it was Valeri Nichushkin getting his second goal of the game a few minutes into the frame. Colorado took advantage of a bad Tampa Bay turnover.

Then Darren Helm scored on the rush toward the end of the period.

Colorado is up 5-0 to start the third. Game 3 is Monday.
