WATCH: Two Sakic trade deadline acquisitions score 15 seconds apart

Jun 2, 2022, 7:39 PM

The Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oilers took a brief break from their scoring barrage for a scoreless first period of Game 2.

But quickly into the second period, the Avs were first on the board. At 3:58, Artturi Lehkonen tipped a shot from Nazem Kadri to get on the board.

Just 15 seconds later Josh Manson added a second goal, with the helpers going to Lehkonen and Kadri.

Kardi added a third helper less than two minutes later, as the Avs scored a third goal in two minutes and four seconds of playing time. The Avs scored three goals on three consecutive shots.

Both Artturi Lehkonen and Josh Manson were added at the trade deadline. The first was traded by the Montreal Canadiens to Colorado for a second round draft pick in 2024 and Justin Barron. The defenseman was  traded by the Anaheim Ducks to the Avalanche for second round draft pick in 2023 and Drew Helleson.

Colorado leads the Oilers 3-0, halfway through Game 2 of the Western Conference Final.
