Ciara celebrated her Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover with her husband, Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson, on Thursday night in New York City.

Ciara was selected earlier this week as one of four women to grace the cover of the iconic magazine. She posted several photos of the event on her Instagram, including one of her and Russ.

Ciara later performed some of her greatest hits at the party and then spoke about the honor as well.

“You guys have no idea, this is a dream in the making,” Ciara said. “You know how they say something in the making. It was a dream in the making. 18 years ago, me a little girl from Atlanta, Georgia dreaming big. I remember seeing Tyra Banks on the cover and I thought, that could be me one day. It happened.”

Ciara and Wilson moved to Denver and bought a $25M house after Broncos GM George Paton traded for the QB earlier this spring, but have also been traveling for various events, as one would expect.

It’s rare an NFL QB is the second most famous person in his family, but there’s no doubt Ciara is a massive superstar. And she showed that again on Thursday night.
