Bart Scott picks Broncos to win AFC West, Chiefs to miss playoffs entirely

Former Jets and Ravens linebacker Bart Scott can’t wait to see what the Denver Broncos do this year.
And he’s totally out on the Kansas City Chiefs.
Appearing on ESPN’s “Get Up” on Tuesday morning, Scott revealed his picks for the AFC playoffs, including division winners, and sent Chiefs fans into a tizzy. Scott predicted the Broncos and Russell Wilson will win the AFC West outright, while Kansas City won’t even get a wild card spot in the postseason.
“Now they got to go through the gauntlet,” Scott said of the Chiefs and the AFC West. “You talk about the Russ effect, for years we’ve been talking about all Denver needs is a quarterback. Well listen, John Elway found a quarterback. Last time he found a quarterback that had won a Super Bowl before, he brought a Super Bowl to Denver. So listen, I’m not putting Russell Wilson there with Peyton Manning, but it’s not far fetched.”
With all due respect to Elway, Scott should have said Broncos GM George Paton found a quarterback this time around. But the point still holds, last time Denver brought a QB with a Super Bowl ring to town, things worked out pretty well for the Broncos.
Scott’s four division winners are the Broncos, Bengals, Bills and Colts. His three wild card teams are the Browns, Chargers and Ravens with the Chiefs heading on vacation early.
You can watch some more of the conversation with Scott and a perturbed Tim Hasselbeck below.
Can’t wait Bart Scott. Bart seems to forget the AFC West will have 14 of the same 17 opponents. pic.twitter.com/pT5kw6zbfI
