Broncos’ free agency plans may include three big pass rushing names

The Denver Broncos have already had a monster offseason.
When you acquire a future Hall of Fame quarterback in Russell Wilson, that’s a given. But with free agency opening next week, the team isn’t close to done. And more big names could be coming to the Broncos.
One of Denver’s biggest needs is adding a veteran pass rusher or two to pair with Bradley Chubb. Von Miller has not so secretly put out the idea he’d like to come home. But who else could be on George Paton’s radar?
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Denver will indeed have interest in a reunion with Miller. He also hints Denver might pursue two of the biggest pass rushing names on the market.
“The Broncos are also making inquires for pass rush; a reunion with Von Miller is not out of the question, but Chandler Jones and Randy Gregory are other options that interest them,” La Canfora wrote in his blog on Wednesday.
While Miller would obviously be an immensely popular choice, Jones and Gregory would also be potential great additions. Jones has a whopping 107.5 career sacks, including 10.5 with the Cardinals last year. Gregory’s career got off to a rocky start, but he has 9.5 sacks the last two seasons and has only played in 50 career games. There’s a lot of gas left in that tank.
Adding Jones would be similar to when the team inked DeMarcus Ware in 2014. It would be brining in a future Hall of Famer looking for a championship. Gregory would be more of a risk, but the upside is there.
Regardless of how it all plays out, Paton will likely land another big name or two in free agency after creating a monster splash with the Wilson trade.
It’s an exciting time to be a Broncos fan.
