It looked gruesome. The replays were hard to watch. It caused flashbacks to Dak Prescott and other bad lower-leg injuries.
When Jerry Jeudy got his leg rolled up on in the third quarter of Sunday’s win at the Giants, it appeared as though the second-year receiver’s season was going to be over. He was carted off the field, as his Broncos teammates wished him well.
As the day went along, however, good news started to emerge. Jeudy didn’t return to the game, but he won’t be lost for the season.
#Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy has a high ankle sprain, source said. X-rays negative.

High ankle sprains can be tough to overcome. They’re slow to heal. So Jeudy could be out some time. But things could’ve been much, much worse.
The wideout wasn’t the only big-name Broncos player to deal with an injury on Sunday. Bradley Chubb was inactive for the game, as he continues to nurse a bad ankle.
Star linebacker Bradley Chubb (ankle) will NOT be active today per source. Chubb wanted to play but Broncos medical team doing smart thing by holding him back. #9sports

Chubb is recovering from an ankle injury that sidelined him for the final two games of last season and required offseason surgery. Given his history of leg issues, including three ACL tears, the Broncos are playing the long game with their Pro Bowl pass rusher.
