As the 2021 MLB All-Star Game put Denver squarely in the spotlight this week, 104.3 The Fan asked Rockies fans to rank their all-time Colorado all-star team.
Among the top vote getters are Hall of Fame outfielder Larry Walker, who appeared on nearly every one of the more than 550 ballots cast during the contest, and future Hall of Famer Nolan Arenado, who collected 81.1 percent of the votes for third base.
The widest margin, however, belongs to first baseman Todd Helton, who dominated the vote at the position with 86.1 percent choosing him over Andres Galarraga and Justin Morneau.
Here’s the full all-time all-star roster:
• First base: Todd Helton
• Second base: D.J. LeMahieu
• Shortstop: Troy Tulowitzki
• Third base: Nolan Arenado
• Catcher: Joe Girardi
• Pitcher: Ubaldo Jimenez
• Outfield: Larry Walker, Carlos Gonzalez and Matt Holliday
