Add another line to the Hall of Fame resume of former Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton.

While Cooperstown still awaits, Helton highlights the 2021 induction class of the National College Baseball Hall of Fame announced on Thursday.

In three seasons with the Tennessee Volunteers, Helton batted .370 with 38 home runs, 238 RBIs and a .636 slugging percentage.

Helton was named All-SEC and All-American twice, and in 1995 was the National Player of the Year by ABCA, Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball. That year, he hit .407 with 20 home runs and 92 RBI to go with an 8-2 record on the mound with a 1.66 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 76 innings.

The Rockies would draft Helton eighth overall in 1995 as well, spending a pair of years in the team’s farm system before making his MLB debut on Aug. 2, 1997.

Helton would spend his entire 17-year career with Colorado, playing 2,247 games in purple pinstripes.

A career .316 hitter with 369 home runs, 2,519 hits and a 61.8 WAR, Helton finished seventh in Pro Baseball Hall of Fame voting in 2021, earning 44.9 percent of the vote in his third year on the ballot.
