Schlereth: Aaron Rodgers to Broncos “close to a done deal”

The Broncos appear on the cusp of landing yet another future Hall of Fame quarterback, as a source has told 104.3 The Fan’s Mark Schlereth a trade to send Aaron Rodgers to Denver is “about as close to a done deal as can happen.”
“Now, it could fall through, but I’ve been told by a very reliable source that this thing is going down,” Schlereth said just moments before the start of the NFL Draft on Thursday evening.
Schlereth said he wasn’t told of any compensation going back to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for Rodgers, just that his “very credible” source said it’s “very close to being a done deal.”
Should Denver land the reigning MVP, Schlereth said it would instantly make the Broncos a playoff contender.
“I’ve said this for a while now, there are four quarterbacks in the National Football League that erase warts. All the others expose warts. Aaron is one that erases warts,” Schlereth said. “He is phenomenal.”
This is a developing story. Stay tuned to 104.3 The Fan and DenverFan.com for updates as they come in.
