The Avalanche clinched the playoff spot on Thursday night after defeating the St. Louis Blues 4-2.
This is the fourth straight season that the Avalanche has reached the NHL postseason, the team’s most consecutive trips since making 11 straight playoffs from 1994-95 to 2005-06.
Per NHL PR, the Avalanche are averaging 3.33 goals per game in the postseason during their current streak of appearances (since 2018), only the Oilers (3.75) have a higher rank in that same timeframe.
