The NFL has announced it will release the 2021 schedule on Wednesday, May 12, at 6 p.m. MT on NFL Network, NFL.com and the NFL app.
NFL Network’s coverage will include breakdowns of the regular season schedule, division-by-division, and analysis of the top matchups and prime time games, per a league release.
Aside from home and away games with divisional foes Los Angeles Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders, the Broncos opponents in 2021 are:
• Home opponents: Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Football Team, New York Jets, Detroit Lions
• Away opponents: Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars
This is the first season in NFL history that there will be 17 regular season games and only three preseason games.
Denver’s 17th opponent — the Lions — are from the opposing conference and finished in the same place within the division the previous season.
Because the AFC has been selected to start as the home conference for the 17th game in 2021, Detroit will be travelling to Denver
