Avalanche’s Mikko Rantanen added to NHL COVID-19 list

Colorado Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen was added to the NHL’s COVID-19 list on Tuesday, according to insider Adrian Dater.

Rantanen joins goalie Philipp Grubauer and winger Joonas Donskoi on the COVID-19 list.
The Avalanche have just 13 games remaining on the 2021 schedule. According to the Denver Post, because of Colorado’s postponements, the Vegas Golden Knights lead the West Divison and lead the Presidents’ Trophy race with 66 points.
Colorado was supposed to face the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night, but the latest positive COVID test may complicate the schedule further.
