As the trade deadline looms on Thursday, the Denver Nuggets have been linked to a pair of forward on the market: Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic and Harrison Barnes of the Sacramento Kings.
Monday morning, 104.3 The Fan Nuggets Insider Matt Moore reported for The Action Network that Denver was among a group of suiters interested in Gordon’s services, including the Portland Trail Blazers and Dallas Mavericks as well.
Moore also reported on Monday evening that the Boston Celtics were considered the frontrunners to add Gordon before Thursday’s deadline and have offered two first-round picks.
Then, on Tuesday evening, the Denver Post’s Mike Singer reported a source told him the Nuggets were interested in Barnes, though specifics on price were unclear.
This season Gordon has played 29.0 minutes a game for the Magic, averaging 14.7 points, 4.2 assists and 6.8 rebounds with a .442 field goal percentage.
Comparatively, in 35.9 minutes a night for the Kings, Barnes has averaged 16.3 points, 3.7 assists and 6.5 rebounds with a .496 field goal percentage.
