Broncos WR Tim Patrick claps back after Pro Football Focus snub

Feb 23, 2021, 3:45 PM | Updated: 3:51 pm

With zero drops this past season, Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick undoubtedly has one of the best set of hands in the NFL.

That is unless you ask Pro Football Focus.

On Tuesday, the Broncos wideout dragged the analytics site on Twitter for excluding him among a list of top receivers in the NFL in terms of drop percentage.

Patrick managed not to drop a single pass in 2020, joining just six other NFL players with a 0.0 percent drop rate last season.

Among those half-dozen players, Patrick had the most targets (79), starts (15) and receiving yards (742). His six touchdown catches and 51 receptions ranked second among the group — just behind Green Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan (11 touchdowns, 52 receptions).

Per Pro Football Focus on Twitter, the top receivers in the NFL last season in terms of drop percentage were Davante Adams and DeAndre Hopkins at 0.9 percent, followed by Allen Robinson at 1.0 percent and Cole Beasley at 1.2 percent.

For what it’s worth, Pro Football Reference has Adams at 0.7 percent, Hopkins at 1.3 percent, Beasley at 1.9 percent and Robinson at 2.0 percent.

Rallying behind their teammate, however, several Broncos players tweeted their support of Patrick after the PFF snub.
