Tiger Woods has been hospitalized after a single-car accident in Los Angeles left him with “multiple” leg injuries.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said that the “jaws of life” were needed to “extricate” Tiger Woods out of the vehicle on Tuesday morning when emergency personnel responded to a rollover crash at approximately 7:12 a.m. local time.

“Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries. He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support,” Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg said in a statement.

Authorities are investigating the crash.
