James Merilatt filled in for Tyler today. DMac asked James to give his thoughts on what he thought of the Broncos 2020 draft class. In the water cooler, the guys react to the news of the NCAA’s highest governing body approved a proposal that will allow college athletes to receive compensation for third party endorsements. The fellas gave their thoughts on Peter King’s comments saying that he has questions about Drew Lock, but would take Phillip Lindsay over Melvin Gordon.
In Football at Four, Chad Brown jumped in and gave his thoughts on the John Elway’s newest draft picks. Chad gave his breakdown of newly drafted cornerback Michael Ojemudia. DMac asked Chad if Ojemudia fits the Fangio scheme. The guys then jumped into Pat’s Playbook with Case Keenum’s first start under Pat Shurmur in Minnesota from 2017. Our very own Mark Schlereth joined the show to give his thoughts on the Broncos’ draft picks. DMac asked Mark if the Broncos should go out and sign Kelvin Beachum or Jason Peters to play left tackle this season. Our Broncos insider Troy Renck joined the show and talked about how the Broncos were focused on taking a wide receiver in the 2nd round. Troy said this Broncos team is not ready to compete with the Chiefs this season.
In the 3rd hour, DMac and Chad heard Brett Favre’s comments about talking with Aaron Rodgers after they drafted Jordan Love in the first round of this year’s draft. Does Brett Favre think that the Packers made a mistake drafting Love? DMac draws out a scenario in which the Broncos could go after Aaron Rodgers next year.
In the top six, is baseball close in returning? DMac and Chad discuss the latest about NCAA athletes receiving revenue from endorsements and react to Peter King’s comments questioning Drew Lock and saying that people are overlooking Phillip Lindasy.
