Five burning questions: Broncos TE Noah Fant on autographs, adjusting to NFL

Denver Broncos first-round tight end Noah Fant stepped out in front of the orange and blue faithful for the first time at Broncos Stadium at Mile High on Saturday, spending most of the post-practice period swarmed by fans looking for the signature of the team’s top pick in 2019.

In between practice and mingling with the fans, however, Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan producer Kendall Valenzuela caught up with Fant, who dished on his most prized autograph, along with his adjustment to the NFL.

Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan produce Kendall Valenzuela: This was your first time in Broncos Stadium at Mile High in front of the fans. How was it?

Denver Broncos rookie tight end Noah Fant: It was amazing. All of the fans coming out. You can hear them all behind us. It’s been a great time out here, and it’s definitely something I can get used to.

Valenzuela: Who did you look up to the most as a kid?

Fant: I looked up to my brother, Chris, the most. He was just a big influence on me. He played college football before me and kind of led me along the road. So, I definitely looked up to him the most.

Valenzuela: You’re signing autographs now, but what is your most prized autograph?

Fant: That’s a hard one. I have a Kobe Bryant jersey that’s signed, so that’s pretty cool. But yeah, it’s definitely a cool experience to come out here and sign these autographs. And, hopefully, mine will be valuable like that one day.

Valenzuela: You, Jake Butt, Jeff Heuerman, Troy Fumagalli, you’re all Big 10 guys. What’s so special about the Big 10?

Fant: I mean, the Big 10 produces tight ends. What can I say? It’s a very balanced conference. A lot of passing. A lot of throwing. And that translates well to the NFL. So, you’ll find a lot of Big 10 guys in the NFL.

Valenzuela: A week into practice, what has been the biggest adjustment so far?

Fant: I think the biggest adjustment is coming out here and going against high caliber players every play, guys that are All-Pro players, guys that have done it for 10 years. So, just coming out here and having to play against those guys and trying to do great things against them and continue to do that.
