Pritchard: Broncos woes start at the top and roll downhill

After Denver dropped a seventh straight game for the first time in 50 years, here’s “Pritchard & Cecil” host Mike Pritchard’s big three Broncos breakdown:

1. Win from now on?

No doubt general manager John Elway mortgaged the Denver Broncos future in order to win a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning on the roster.

Elway needs to contact a salary-based loan consultant and refinance this roster.

Wide receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders look to be overpriced playmakers who aren’t making plays. The Denver defense is no longer the strength of the team and looks overpriced as well.

Denver should take advantage of special loan programs (salary cap) in order to rebuild this team.

2. Broncos won’t utilize its All-Pro RB

If the NFL game is about matchups, then why are the Broncos doing their best to avoid giving the ball to Jamaal Charles?

It’s not a question if Jamaal Charles can still play. The only question is why can’t Denver figure out a way to utilize his skill set?

3. Denver undisciplined

I love that Denver plays a physical brand of football, but Denver is so undisciplined.

Too many penalties on offense. Too many penalties on defense.

The 2017 Broncos beat themselves before trying to be competitive, all the while redefining this popular phrase.
