Game notes
• Including Week 8’s tilt against the Chiefs, the Broncos will have played in 71 games on Monday Night Football, good enough for fourth all-time in the NFL.
• Denver owns just a 19-37 mark against Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium, but overall the Broncos have a 54-59 record against the Chiefs.
• During the past seven seasons, Denver has a .725 winning percentage within the AFC West, which ranks third in the NFL during that time.
• Jamaal Charles makes his return to Kansas City for the first time since his release this offseason. During his nine-year tenure with the Chiefs, he rushed for 1,000-plus yards in five seasons and totaled 7,220 career rushing yards, the best in franchise history.
• With 44 yards from scrimmage, Charles can also become the 10th active player to reach the 10,000-yard mark.
• Special teams coordinator Brock Olivo also returns to Arrowhead for the first time since leaving his position as the Chiefs assistant special teams coach, which he held from 2014-’16.
• Tackle Donald Stephenson and linebacker Shane Ray return to their hometown of Kansas City.
• With nine yards rushing, C.J. Anderson can become just the fourth player in Broncos history to run for 400 yards in a season for four consecutive seasons.
• A pick-six would net Aqib Talib a tie with Darren Sharper and Charles Woodson for the second-most career interceptions for a touchdown.
• With a win, Denver can ensure a .500 or better divisional record for the 20th time in the last 22 seasons.
